I’ve long believed Dan is one of the design community’s hidden gems. He’s a brilliant designer, with an uncanny ability to see directly into any challenge. He’ll get right to the heart of the problem, unpack it, then present solutions that seem obvious in retrospect. It doesn’t hurt that he’s funny on top of that. I’ve been following Dan’s career since he received his Masters in Interaction Design from Carnegie Mellon, and quickly became one of Adaptive Path’s shining stars. After the founding of Kicker Studios, he became a Director of Interaction Design at Smart Design. Dan is now the VP of Product for Mayfield Robotics, where he’s leading the design of a new line of adorable home robots. Holder of several interaction design patents, and recipient of several design awards, Dan is definitely one of the leading interaction designers in the world.
